Hoo-Boy!

I took 3,000 photos today- no joke. They are slowly but surely loading into their Lightroom catalog, but a couple caught my eye as I breezed through the images...

Soooo many more photos to come! Tomorrow I'll be doing their "day after/trash the dress" shoot, then back to Maryland I go! So once I get home, I promise, so many photos!

xo!

Hello From Florida!

I'm in sunny Sarasota, Florida getting ready to shoot the AWESOME wedding of Tim and Kari! I am so excited to be down here for their special weekend.

There was a rehearsal this afternoon and I came along to get a feel for the ceremony... and to grab some photos, of course! Then I stuffed my belly full of pasta at the dinner afterwards :)

So many more amazing moments coming in the next few days... stay tuned!

Kathryn + Brian: Married!

Forever.

[this post brought to you by technology at its finest- wifi at 30,000 feet!]

Kathryn and Brian were married in late October at the stunning Birkby House in Leesburg, Virginia. I love this place! I also love any excuse to go to Leesburg- it is the cutest town and has amazing shopping! :)

What make these two so special is the fact that there love shows, but they are not showboaters about it. It's quiet, sweet, peaceful love. I loved their small, slow movement towards each others. Sweet glances all evening... it was enough to make to sigh a good sigh :)

Kathryn + Brian, I hope you're enjoying your honeymoon in Hawaii!

they decided to see each other before the ceremony... always a sweet moment!

rain couldn't keep up from taking cute photos! :)

I loved the ring pass-off

Married!

Can you even believe these kids?!

The Cumber Family

Smiles All Around.

Say hello to the Cumber family! I loved doing this photo session for many reasons:

1) It was in Frederick! (hooray for driving .8 miles down the road!)
2) I met Cliff through the Frederick Twitter Group!
3) It was a fantastic fall afternoon!
4) They are insanely energetic and sweet!

So there you are. All of those things combined to create an awesome afternoon of smiles, laughs, and lots of great images.

I think this one pretty much sums it all up! :)

A happy, happy family

Pretty Girl!

Striking boy!

Maybe my favorite! I love how Liam is pulling them off the frame

Ahhhh, siblings.

Yay! I love living in this city!

After 10+ years, they are still crazy in love- this makes me so happy!

Holiday Portrait: The Whitfield's

This afternoon I had the pleasure of photographing Congressman Ed Whitfield, his wife Connie and two of their lovely dogs around the gardens at the National Cathedral. It was a quick shoot, but I enjoyed meeting them and taking their annual Christmas card photo.

How sweet are Nigel and Bosley?!

The K Family

Double the cuteness.

Hanging out with the K Family made me tired! Imagine two eight month old twin girls who JUST learned how to crawl and move around days before. Days, people. All they wanted to do was move move move!

But that's part of the fun, right? Mom and dad were calm and collected, grabbing and catching at all the right moments... I was impressed!

Yes, they HELD HANDS! It was insane- we were all in complete awe!

Loved bath time!

Meghan + Adam: Engaged

Engaged.

I met up with Meghan and Adam a few days ago and we hung out at Meridian Hill Park. So much fun! The wedding is in June and I can't wait!

Dogs, Dogs, Dogs, and One More Dog

If you haven't noticed by now (I think it's safe to say you have) I adore all animals, but have a special affinity for dogs. I especially love the big ones. The bigger the better!

So when I had the chance to photograph four big, beautiful pups, I jumped on it.

Let me introduce you to Lily, Talos, Tango and Nemo. They belong to Laurie Luck, the owner of Smart Dog University. And I might be a little biased, but I think she's a GREAT trainer- Molly is currently enrolled in her puppy class.

And, Laurie has a great blog. Yesterday she wrote about our photo session and a scary few moments we had when an unleashed dog came tearing through our session. There was nothing we could do but hope the dog not on a leash was friendly and the owner could call them back. Luckily that was the case and after a few minutes, all the dogs settled down. Lesson learned: LEASHES AREN'T OPTIONAL! When you're in a park, leash 'em up, for the sake of others and the safety of your pups.

OK, enough lessons! On to some photos of cuteness!

Lily!

Talos! He's still a puppy and weighs in at 110 pounds! He's going to get BIGGER!

Tango, a sweetheart of a lab!

Nemo!

Twins, a wedding, an engagement and puppies- OH MY!

Hey Everyone!

I have been shooting A LOT in the past few weeks. Like, an insane amount. I love it, but it also means I'm a bit backed up. I've had a shoot almost every single day of October!

I promise I'll be giving each session the blog post it deserves, but in the meantime...

Babies in a bathtub...

Kathryn + Brian tie the knot...

Meghan + Adam show off their love in DC...

Tango, the super cute dog (wait till you see his adopted brothers + sisters!)
